Youth Lives Matter was created to raise awareness for youth mental health and prevent youth suicide, specifically to provide Counsellor's at Intermediate Schools in our region – the Bay of Plenty.

In 2022 we held our very first fundraiser event, a Black Tie Masquerade Casino evening at Classic Flyers, Mt Maunganui.  It was a super fun night, and our community came together and raise over $85,000 for this amazing cause.

​

We have grown to a team of 7 amazing women – Colleen Schumacher, Maria Sisson, Susan Grey, Deb Jamieson, Tracey Taylor, Toni Spiers and Tracey Rudduck-Gudsell. We are excited to officially join the Tauranga Te Papa Rotary club this year who will support us within their structure to do what we do best.

And together with the support of our sponsors and local community we are doing it all over again, this year in 2023 we are raising much needed funds to sponsor a counsellor at Tauranga Intermediate School.

We are planning another exciting event later this year with a 'A Night on Broadway' theme where we will provide the entertainment, food, drinks, fun and also hold a live, and silent auction.

We have the opportunity to make a real difference here in our local community, all funds raised will support our amazing cause – Youth Lives Matter.
